What does ISO 17025 Accredited mean?

     ISO 17025 is the international standard following general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration labs. It was originally put in place in 1999 to ensure consistency in labs across the nation. ISO is a non-governmental entity that is recognized internationally. Labs use ISO 17025 to implement a quality management system, with the goal of improving their ability to consistently produce valid results. ISO 17025 allows us, as a calibration lab, to prove our competence by using highly technical and accurate measurement procedures. McCune's Instruments Inc. has been ISO 17025:2017 approved by the ANAB Accrediting body.
