McCune's Instruments has the capability of doing uniformity surveys to adhere to multiple different specifications, including the newest AMS-2750G. The instrumentation equipment we use is certified and NIST traceable. The calibration and certification of the instruments used are done in our own ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited certified metrology lab.
Onsite calibrations can be performed in several ways, depending on whether or not your process is running, and if test probes can be placed adjacent to your temperature sensors. Some of these test are:

SYSTEM ACCURACY TESTS (SAT)
This preferred test is performed by:
- Placing one of our certified sensors close to the control sensor as possible
- Comparing the reading from our sensor to the reading of your system
COMPARISON TESTS
If the sensor to be tested cannot be accessed while you're process is running, the accuracy of your instrument reading can then be determined by:
- Connecting our certified test instrument to your sensor
- Comparing the two readings
COMPLETE UNIFORMITY TEST
If your process is not running, the unit can be calibrated at multiple points throughout the operating temperature range per your specification guideline
Documentation
Complete sets of documentation can be provided to you, for whatever information is needed to maintain your quality system and regulations. We make sure that reports are accurate, and detailed. The integrity of your calibrations will be clearly reported making your next audit worry-free.
Replacement and Upgrades
Another service provided is instrument replacements and upgrades, when needed or required. Some of these instruments include:
- Thermocouples
- Protection tubes
- Extension wire
- Chart recorders
- Pens
